Oh my, I remember 7th grade and the book fliers. The high from those thin little papers could carry me for a week.

And when I first read this book all I could do was imagine having a Michael of my own. How neatly the romanticize away what it's like to live with a stinky boy. LOL

Martha, I am giddy when my boys bring those fliers home. I loved those days as a kid and would rush home to circle what I wanted. I read The Best Christmas Pageant Ever every year. Those evil Herdmans, maybe they make me feel better about my own parenting. lol. Wishing you a Merry Christmas.

PS I saw this clip of the known universe and thought of your science post: http://www.amnh.org/news/2009/12/the-known-universe/
