It’s almost the most wonderful time of the year in Peddler’s Village, in my opinion.
A million holiday lights will make the Village shine for the season starting Friday night, November 19, according to a press release from Peddler’s Village. You will have plenty of time to go and see them … they will be on until January 12, 2022. It is truly an extraordinary spectacle not to be missed.
Going to Peddler’s Village is one of my family’s favorite vacation traditions. It’s just an amazing experience. Be sure to visit the Gingerbread House Contest and Exhibition. This year it will be in the Big Red Barn on Street Road Green. It’s free with over 70 screens. I like to see all the creations.
The man of the season, Santa Claus, will also make his first appearance at the Village on November 19. He will be near the Gazebo and walk around, greeting everyone and welcoming the happy season.
Be sure to bring your holiday shopping list. The 65 specialty stores and boutiques have so much to offer … there is something for everyone. Most of the stores are locally owned, so if you love to shop and support the locals, here’s your chance (Small Business Saturday is November 27).
Bring the kids to Holly Jolly Weekend, Saturday December 4th and Sunday December 5th. There will be a Santa Claus parade through the Village on both days at 1:30 p.m., and other activities.
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love Peddler’s Village. I’ve been going there since I was a kid. It is such a special place where you and your family can make memories. It takes you back in time with its old village atmosphere. If you’ve never been there, vacations are a great time to visit. You will instantly get all the holiday feeling.
In addition to shopping, the Village is also home to fabulous restaurants and top notch accommodation for family members from out of town … or maybe a romantic weekend vacation for you and your sweetheart. .
